DMS Open House 2018 - A Public Relations Success Story

It was an exceptional day full of exceptional people at DMS on Saturday. The passion members have for the Space and it’s culture was on full display throughout the building, and the large number of visitors who passed through DMS today shared in that excitement.

Today’s Open House was an unequivocal Public Relations success story.

John Gorman (@talkers) your hard work and outstanding results, and the efforts and enthusiasm of the many DMS members who contributed to today’s event made me proud to be a member.

Thank you for that folks. You are ALL amazing.

Do you think that’s because many of the visitors are now members?

Can’t draw any conclusions from this.

We don’t know if there was a comparable amount of advertising before the event each year - or any other number of contributing factors.

Note the difference in the starting and ending times from year to year. It would be interesting to know the timing spread of the attendees to see if we should start later in the morning or end earlier at night.

As a curiosity, does that mean 250 waivers were signed, or does it mean that 250 people were listed on the waivers?

I’m asking because I’m trying to figure out whether that number includes minors.

Can’t factor for all variables sure, but the ratio of non-member attendees
becoming members is worth looking at.

I helped as a greeter part of the day, we had a lot of folks with childrne come by ahd quite a few member
brought family members to tour

It being Texas OU day may have hurt some with folks wanting to see hear the game

Should this be under Public Relations instead of DMS General?

DMS General is members only.
