The DMS Online elections have started!

You will receive an email with your Elector ID & Password. Follow the link in the email and you will be allowed to vote once. Make your choices known by selecting up to 5 Board Members.

I will get a notification that you voted but NOT your vote. This is to allow me to follow the activity of the election and correct and emailed information

Sample Email Format:

Hello {name},

You are registered to vote in 2018 Board of Directors Election of the Dallas Makerspace. This ballot ends at 2018-04-12 12:00 US/Central.

To vote, please visit: https://dallasmakerspace.simplyvoting.com/

Then enter:

Elector ID - {elector_id}
Password - {password}

Or follow this link to access the ballot directly: https://dallasmakerspace.simplyvoting.com/{direct_link}

The ironic thing here is that during testing both Luke and I disabled our voting rights… and didn’t have them enabled at the deadline. :open_mouth:

We will have to vote with a paper ballot.

We really need a test account. That is why I always reenable mine after I do any testing.

Edit: You may want to set up a proxy just in case you cannot make it for whatever reason.

I also got mine last night. It came from Lampy at Dallasmakerspace dot org, in case you need to check your SPAM filters.

hmm, not in spam or inbox. It’s alright, I can do a paper ballot instead.

I can still import Electors while the voting is live if you want to do online.

Yes unfortunately with emailed ballots some can go into spam or get bounced. I receive reports about how the emails are being received (or not) and can adjust and resend if necessary.

Electors: 231
Votes: 47

So far a great initial turnout. Remember the online portion of the election closes: 4/12/2018 at Noon.

BTW, we are not taking request to be added to online voting. The deadline was yesterday at noon. I was only granting @LukeStrickland request because he had his rights removed as part of testing the system.

We will be updating email addresses that have changed or bounced.

Could you please update this once a day as a reminder to vote.

Curious to know how many are eligible to vote to see what turnout is.

I think I may be the only person having a hard time voting not choosing a candidate wise but it keeps telling me I’m not registered to vote when I know for a fact I registered a while back

Fixed. Auto fill was putting 8n last year’s id/password
