Calling all woodshoppers

As many may know, DMS is entering the Denton Coffin Race to be run the weekend before Halloween.

In addition to making a blazing fast coffin racer, we are wanting to do other things to draw attention to DMS as a promotional effort.

As a promotional piece, we were thinking of making a DMS Coffin Buggy

Rough is fine, like shown in the picture

DMS will cover costs of supplies

Other groups will supply skeletons, clothes and can do painting, if needed.

Anybody like to be on point? Wanting to make this a fun group woodshop project.

I wasn’t even aware of this event. Thank you for putting it on my radar. There are a lot more areas that could be incorporated than just woodshop with a build like this.

We have several work projects we are starting for this overall Coffin Race effort - actual racing coffin build, costumes, awards, pit, PR, etc

Here we are looking for a small group to build this wooden display piece to promote DMS. If the builders feels comfortable painting great, otherwise we will find a CA group to help paint. Animatronics will help with skeletons, etc

Howdy! I actually work for the City of Denton in the marketing dept. Would love to do a story on this, maybe film some of the build and interview a few of the team members.

We have covered the event in the past but I’m always looking for more personal human stories rather than big picture. Would love the chance to feature DMS as well.
