Britton was one of the first people I met at DMS and probably the first new friend I made when I moved here four years ago. His ability to meet people and remember names was superhuman. He could talk to a dozen people at a time and make each one feel important. The way he could give woodworking advice without making you feel dumb was second to none.
I’m grateful to Britton for encouraging me to get involved with resurrecting the old X-Carve/Frankenpoco machine. I’m grateful for all the people he introduced me to over the years. I will miss his help and advice in the woodshop. I’ll miss the hours we would spend chatting about countless subjects. I’ll miss going to get tacos with him. I’ll miss his laser cookies. I’ll miss seeing his van in the parking lot and his enthusiastic greeting when I would walk in. I’m heartbroken and will truly miss a great friend and excellent mentor. The space is going to feel a lot emptier without him in it. Safe travels, dear friend. ![]()
