Digital photo frame advice?

I found a tutorial for a Raspberry Pi on making a digital photo frame (rotating pics) using an HDMI screen. They bought theirs, but could it be done using an old computer monitor or even a TV?

I want to make a big one for our case at work

I would think that as long as the computer screen or TV has an HDMI input you’re good.

Older raspi also had a composite out… which could work with ancient school system screens

I’ll find the old monitor in question and take a pic. It’s young enough to be a flat screen, we just never use it

There are low cost ( < $20 ) HDMI to VGA converters also. If it’s not quite THAT ancient, that could be a solution.
