Damaged evolution miter saw

I had some aluminum plate kick back while I was cutting it with the chop saw last night resulting in a crack in the fence. I removed the fence and placed it off to the left on the rollers. Please let me know what I can do to replace the fence or if the saw is under warranty. Thank you. -Cesar

Thank you for reporting this! I am unsure of what procedure needs to happen here myself, however I appreciate your care to let us know.

Technically, broken things go into the Issues and Requests category. And, one “tags” the relevant group — in this case @Team_Machine_Shop . We’ve got a great group of folks that fix things, but they don’t always read every post. The tag brings it to their attention.

Thanks for the help today @ce_posadas & @BobKarnaugh in getting a new fence fabricated.
I took some pictures of the progress but not the end product.

That’s not a fence, it’s a barrier.

Also we fixed the Bridgeport while we were rebuilding the fence.

What do those pieces do on the bridgeport?

The collet pin & collet pin retainer. The smaller/thinner one was binding between the quill & spindle, thats why you had to hit it in reverse to free it.
