My name is Imran Charania and I am one of the organizers for Dallas Startup Week. We have an event for makers, hackers, and tinkerers to showcase some of the awesome projects that are being worked on. It takes place on Thursday, April 14th at 6 PM at 901 Main St, Dallas, TX 75202, USA on the 72nd Floor. We have about 4 more spots available so if you would like to showcase your projects, please contact me at [email protected] or 817-676-4042 so I can add you to our presenter list.
Dallas Startup Week is a weeklong celebration of startups and entrepreneurship in Dallas and aims to celebrate and share the culture of entrepreneurship with the city of Dallas. Last year Dallas broke the record for the number of attendees in its inaugural year and we are expecting to double that number this year. This event in particular is aimed at celebrating makers, hackers, tinkerers and the culture that permeates this community and we are doing it by showcasing some of the incredible projects that makers produce.
If you can’t make Thursday, then there happens to be 3 or 4 more spots left for Friday’s IoT & Hardware Showcase. I am bringing LEDgoes and/or the Yukon pinball machine with the electronic enhancements, so as long as you have something electrical in nature, you might be able to exhibit on Friday as well.
Dallas Startup Week 2016 wants to show off all the awesome projects people are building in their garage and in their free time to show just how innovative DFW is. Want the opportunity to display your project to the general public? Please contact Andrew Schulz ASAP at [email protected]
Imran, I’m looking forward to joining you Thursday as just a plain ol’ attendee unless you have space for my projects as well (especially LEDgoes… not sure if I’ll be able to haul the game back & forth that many times unless I can store it downtown overnight ).
Hi Stephen, we do have space for the Maker Showcase on Thursday. I will send you a calendar invite for the event. I feel obliged to correct the statement the statement, the openings are for Thursday’s event only. The Friday event is reserved for startups only and has been filled.
Hi Cairenn, thanks so much for your interest. This event is taking place as part of the IoT/Robotics track and so we would need projects that have some of that as a component of the work. Does any of your jewelry contain any electronics of sensors?
