Firstly, I absolutely loved the class on Coptic Bookbinding earlier this week. It was a lot more involved than I expected and I have a new appreciation for the artform!
Question: What kind of wood should I be using for covers?

Thanks for asking this. I was going to ask as well. LOL
i dont know that it matters what kind of wood you use i know in he class i was in we used ply wood but ive seen some with walnut or cherry so i think it only matters what kind of wood you want
Absolutely what trapper said – whatever you want, so long as you can get the boards the right thickness. When Capt makes the books for sale, he usually gets poplar from Lowe’s. Sometimes he gets walnut, or some other pretty wood. (But, I think, not from Lowe’s).
Thanks for the tip.
Thanks for the feedback!
