Here’s a cool idea for a portable spray painting booth. Just read a blog where the guy used an old camping tent for a booth. Ideas on this ? And any one have an old tent?
I don’t think the booth is the hard question for a spray booth setup. The real question is what all regulation we have to follow, how do we clean it up without water, and how do we store and dispose of material used.
That is if you are making this as a suggestion for DMS.
No I’m not just saying that it seems like a cool idea
the hardest thing about spraying (anything) is humidity. I don’t see how you can effectively control humidity in a tent unless the tent is indoors. then you’ve got those pesky regs that come into play.
Actually we would have to deal with the regs, even if the booth was a temporary setup outside.
I used a pop-up/easy-up tent with tarps for walls to spray my fenders. Stiffened all the seems with conduit & hung the fenders from another piece of conduit. This was in December by the way so the humidity wasn’t high.
you’re probably right. I was just asking for myself for when I spray lacquer which is very humidity sensitive. Currently I spray in my garage, but don’t really like to.
