Contract/Part-Time Technical Role for IoT R&D Projects

We’re looking for a contract/part-time person that fits the following description. It could develop into a full-time position, but that’s not certain or required. We’re located in Frisco, near Stonebrook & Preston. Some work could be done off-site, but much will also require being on-site in our lab. Hours are flexible and projects are very diverse–you’ll always be working on something new.

Experience working with embedded controllers (Raspberry Pi, Particle, Arduino, PLCs, others). Ability to research and setup both wired and wireless communications with digital and analog sensors such as temperature, air quality, vibration, etc. Communication technologies include satellite, LoRaWAN, LTE, Bluetooth/BLE, USB, and serial (RS-232, RS-485, Modbus, SDI-12), among others. Work would include configuration and integration of sensors and embedded controllers for research, prototypes, and proof-of-concept projects. New sensors and applications may involve testing of functionality, reliability, and accuracy. Proficiency working in Windows, Linux, and other common operating systems. Experience with networks and networking equipment, a plus. Programming skills aren’t required, but that’s also a plus.
