Walked in at 9:09pm and found this mess that someone left in the autobay.
Come on, really?!
Wasn’t there just a thread/post about cleaning up after yourselves?!?

There never seems to be any consequences to doing stuff like this so why should anyone care?
Prove me wrong. If auto has a chair yet they should be looking them up and kicking their ass.
But, whatever. Someone else will clean it.
I’ve taken a look at the cameras, and it was a multitude of people that contributed. I counted at least a half dozen, and the bays were already in slight disarray, leading to people leaving “just one thing” around.
I may still track down individuals for warnings or area bans, but continued disarray may lead to the dissolution of the committee: Automotive Meeting - 6/23 7PM
So the solution your proposing is punish everybody rather than the few? How does this reward responsible members? I would assume if Automotive is disbanded so will Motorsports or will the area just be retained for them?
Motorsports is already its own committee and has plenty of members/activity to not be at risk of being disbanded.
It’s not so much a punishment as a clerical necessity. If no one is willing to manage and maintain the area and tools, then functionally it’s not a responsible use of our resources. While many members benefit from those tools, the tools need to be maintained and managed, so one or some of the benefiting members need to step forward to manage. @skyspook Knowing how few people check talk- I would encourage you to post paper signs around the auto area warning of the above to give everyone fair chance at preventing dissolution.
Thanks! I will.
And to re-iterate something I said on the other thread. We have no desire nor plans to dissolve automotive, but committees cannot exist without our support, and wanted to get that point across (even if I did it a bit clumsily).
I occupied the bay most of the afternoon yesterday cleaning my carpets. The cardboard and what looked like brake fluid was already there when I drove in. We cleaned up most of it I’m guessing in between the time this picture was taken and the time I was outside last night.
