I would like to survey potential class attendees for the subject material they would like to have taught. What subject would you like someone to teach you at the Space?
I suggest as you get get ideas you create a poll and add to the poll. That way people can see what has been suggested and just add their vote.
As for my vote, I would like more classes in the foundry area. Particularly Jewelry (wax loss casting) to do bronze/brass and other metals of the sort. The process from start to finish. Pair it up with arts from the mold making. Have that be a prerequisite maybe.
Yes, a poll would be an excellent idea.Unfortunately, I don’t know how to make a poll, or even if I have the ability to do so.
This is the plug in discourse/plugins/poll at main · discourse/discourse · GitHub we are using so just follow what it says. I did have an issue with it previously though.
Also, I think this should really be a post on what people can teach. Then take a poll on that interest on what is offered. This way we don’t end up with people asking for a class (say on glass blowing) and we don’t have any one willing to teach it or the equipment necessary.
Just my 2 cents.
Jewelry making, mold making, knife making, arduino automaton/robotics classes, raspberry pi classes, stop motion movie making, and sculpting classes would all interest me.
