Class Calendar Update

I’m a new/returning member. When is the monthly calendar of classes updated? Just looking for a class to take.

When Instructors add their classes to the Calendar there’s a delay of 72 hours before they appear on the calendar. Classes are added throughout the day as instructors load them with a 72 delay.

Often an instructor will announce the loaded a class to tell people when to look for them. So I’d suggest several times a day, check once before going to bed becuase a lot of instructors add their classes in the evening so that’s when they will appear later.

I’d also add that different instructors post classes with wildly different lead times. Some folks with tricky personal schedules will post classes for several weeks in the future. Others might see that they have a free day pop up and post a class for next week. So that ‘frequent checking’ David mentioned can really make a difference.

Keep your eyes open on Talk for postings about classes with an opening due to a last minute cancellation.

Also, even if the calendar summary says the class is full, click through to the details anyway. There might be an opening if someone has cancelled, but the system doesn’t update the title. For instance, Woodshop Basics scheduled for tonight says FULL in the summary but says 2 of 5 spaces available when you click through to the details.

EDIT: BTW, if @TSki is holding that class tonight, I’d jump on it if you need it. That particular class always seems to be full.

Thanks everyone. I’ve been checking the calendar but haven’t found the class I need. I’m specifically looking for the laser classes.

The laser classes are online now (except for the Fusion).

Thank you! I didn’t realize the laser classes were online now. I’d love to have someone with me the first time I run it so I’ll be reaching out to you for sure.

Julie, I’ve completed the online course and would like to use the laser this week. Are you available to help me anytime on Monday (14) as I’m off all day or Tuesday or Wednesday evening after about 5:00? I’ve got a couple of designs I’d like to cut as samples. I’ve never used Lightburn either but I’ve downloaded it at home but need a few pointers the first time.
