Woodcraft (Plano only) has claro walnut turning blanks on sale for $5. I’m going to guess that they’re about 3" square by about 7-8" long. It’s pretty wood and will be on sale until the pallet is gone. If someone had a lathe project class of some type this would be an affordable wood choice.

Those would make beautiful pepper mill grinders. That seems like an excellent price, too. They look very figured.
