Ceramics has no air conditioning?

This is my first time in since the wall was put up next to ceramics. It’s my understanding that the vent to cool the ceramics area is behind the new wall. It is sooo hot in here. I have not started working yet and already sweating.

What are the plans to get this area a/c again?
Thanks!

That is incorrect. The unit that serves ceramics is right by jewelry. We are going to be relocating some thermostats soon. Capacity wise, the larger unit that is actually in auto is down. So we are looking at a 50% reduction in available cooling for the back area.

The thermostat for the a/c unit covering both jewelry and ceramics is working, set to 75°, reporting the temperature inside is 75° and it is actively cooling at this time. The thermostat is located on a pillar in the jewelry ceramics area.

Thanks for the information. Relocating the thermostat should make a difference. It was quite toasty today.

And, there are fans back there. Just remember that if you’re working with clay, you want that fan pointed at your body, not your clay. Drying clay too fast can cause issues.

Beth,

Are they big fans or little fans? I saw a large fan on a stand up in jewelry when I was cleaning up today but did not notice any in ceramics. Of course I was not looking or thinking about any fans at the time. Will look when I get back later this week.
Thanks,
Lorraine
