Don’t panic…but please come get your items. As you can see our shelves are getting full. Pieces in the pictures will have to be thrown out if not picked up by September 4th. I placed a stars and little fruits in all these pieces. When you pick your piece up, please place the star or fruit in the glass dish on the shelf.
Hi Coffeebean,
I am seeing several of my pieces that I just put on the Greenware shelf to be fired, last week. Why would it be thrown out in that time frame?
What are the rules regarding picking up items that have come out of the kiln? I think this would be helpful for everyone to know, because this time frame would be quite different than the In Progress shelves I monitor.
Thanks.
Anything in the picture is safe until September 4th. On September 4th…they all would have been on the shelf over 30 days regardless of when they were unloaded.
The only variance between the In Progress shelves and the finished Bisque/Glazed shelves is that folks are responsible for putting the date on the In Progress shelves. Since we only mark finished stuff about once a month, finished pieces can have 59-30 days before tossing. Once we’ve marked stuff, it’s got 30 days. You’re in the shortest time-frame – just came out of the kiln, so you’ve only got 30 days.
In normal terms, most people have picked up their items well before the 30 days expires. Since it’s been 3 days since these pics were taken, I’m pretty sure that a big number of pieces have already gone home.
Okay sounds good. Do the colors of the stars mean anything?
I did look after the Committee meeting yesterday and they were still there.
Not at this time. We’ve gotten busy enough, and the stars haven’t all been returned, so April just used all the stars she had. I should find the rest of the fruits Any Day Now, so next month will all be one fruit.
Hey Potters!
There are still some pieces on the shelves that have stars…and on September 4th they are in danger of being throw out…please come claim them. And remember to please put the stars back in the glass container.
Pictures please.

Give me a bit, and I’ll do new pictures. Although, you might think of the last time you had something come out of a kiln. If it might have been before 8/4, then check the pictures above for something that looks like yours.
I’m fairly sure I have picked up all the older stuff, just trying to keep on top of it. Thanks for all you do. Much appreciated.
Everything was moved around.
I know. And, I’ll move it more to take a new pic of the old stuff. I spent a smidgen of time (not enough) consolidating the pieces with stars. I’ll do more before taking another pic, so that I’m not picturing more than the minimum number of newer pieces.
