  1. Intro-
    sign in/roll call

  2. Review-
    -Anna moved more tools to the cleat wall
    -Scott laundered the aprons and reupholstered the slab/wedging table.
    -review of pirate day #2
    -this month’s purchases- TV, Kiln, Wheels

  3. Bettering the Space this month-
    -getting the wheels installed
    -getting the kiln installed
    -painting the trophy and the mural on the wall
    -white board & bulletin board next to the TV? Shelf under the tv with hooks?
    -in progress: community glaze test tiles

  4. Upcoming Community Events-
    -fall raku firing- Conor has Nov 5 available with a start time at 3pm. We could also possibly do the 12th if we have enough people to do 2 separate firings or if we can’t do the 5th (need 8-10 people per firing).
    -set community cleaning day in october: 16th (Monday), 17th (Tuesday), 25th (Wednesday)
    -personal studio bus tour between Halloween and thanksgiving? Include local clay studios too?

  5. Teachers/Classes-
    -Anna & Sherry & I providing a lot of ceramics 100 this coming month to get everyone on the same page
    -Liam is exploring slipcast and throwing combo class in a single day class with the lemon juicer this month.
    -is there anyone who would be willing to teach some more slip casting? We’ve had some interest expressed in it but don’t have 101s on the calendar

  6. Systems-
    Thinking about having leaders of sub categories in ceramics, i.e.:
    -someone in charge of going through plaster casts when we get new casts
    -someone who is in charge of keeping glaze inventory up to date
    -someone who is in charge of throwing out green ware at 30 day marks
    -Someone who is in charge of throwing out bisque and glaze at 30 day marks
    -Someone who is in charge of kiln team meetings and keeping the kiln maintenance log up to date

  7. Any proposed topics to discuss that were not on the agenda

Hi Melanie, it was in the lecture hall, we usually have it in the front lobby and it should be up there next month. Please come to the next one! Committee meetings are every first Tuesday at 6:30 in the front lobby.
