Well, we found that Paypal was full of suck for our uses. We got back money, but zero information. We couldn’t even tell who paid.
Maybe we could check with @brsims, who is the current treasurer, for his suggestions. Usually we are forgiving enough that making the effort to get what you owe (the $2 in this case) and paying at a future date is fine.
Nope, there’s just no way to handle this administratively right now. That may change in the near future, but for now, we a re stuck with what we have.
Pay for 'em next time you are in, just don’t stiff us long term.
Nothing easier that the fair exchange of currency for goods and services. If you get super worried about it, the 7/11 on the corner has an atm and will make change.
I’ve been thinking we would save alot of money if we batch charged people maybe at the end of the month. We wouldnt have to have a bunch of expensive iPads that break or cant unlock. Also alot of charges are like $1/$2 where we probably spend about 30 cents in transaction fees.
I know this would require a whole new system or way to do things but like I said its an idea. This is in no way intended as a guide or suggestion for an specific way of system implementation.
Would it be possible to set up a square iPad in the common room that can be used in conjunction with the kiosk that I believe Logistics is going to implement? I’d be happy to help set it up in similar vein to the current ones in use.
