I dunno about Terra cotta but Darcy has successfully engraved clay pots. We can try if you want to bring a sacrifice to the laser

Red clay pots tend to be a type of terra cotta
@uglyknees I have some low-fire 6x6 tiles that we use for the tile painting class that we can use as test pieces. Should perform about the same as terracotta.
