Can this cord be saved?

This is a very hard to find cord for a old Corning Ware perculator that was turned into a chew toy. The cord just looks like regular lamp wire to me, anyone know if it’s salvageable? The end going into the unit says 7a 125v and the only thing on the cord is M/E - 105° C. Is that anything unique or difficult to reproduce?

As long as the “business end” that plugs into the coffee pot is good, you can splice some lamp wire on there. Will no longer be UL Listed so keep an eye on it while it’s perking. Don’t leave it laying around if you’re trying to sell your house.

EDIT: make sure you use wire of sufficient gauge to carry 7.5 amps. I thought that went without saying.

…OR you can find a two prong plug replacement, cut the chewed part off and replace the plug. That makes the cord shorter but its the correct gauge wire.
