Can the metal shop shear be used on .062 FR4 PCB?

I’ve got some single sided FR4 that I’d like to cut to size. Any issues doing that with the shear? If not, anyone up for showing me how it works?

whilst the gauge is a little high that could be offset by the material, however I wouldn’t recommend it. That PCB material is more brittle, and you may end up with cracking.

I’d recommend going with a band saw, dremel, or similar.

The scroll saw in wood shop might be your best friend for something like this. If not, I’d go with the band saw with a pretty fine blade.

Don’t breath the fumes.

Please do not use the shear to cut PC board material. Fiberglass in the board is really hard on the blade, and will dull it quickly.
