Bridgeport Quill Feed Stuck

I noticed a bit of drag on the manual quill arm on the Bridgeport that felt suspiciously like the auto quill feed being partially engaged. Fuether attempts to disengage the quill feed has rendered it further stuck and engaged to the point of inability to use the manual quill arm.

check the lever tat engages the quill auto feed. it should not be hanging loose there is a spring which holds the actuator out.

The handle is loose. The lever attached to it is about half as far out (disengaged) as it should be.

it was sticking. You have to reach in and pull it out manually to ensure it is disengaged.
