While working with the Bridgeport it seems as though the air hoses are not properly working to release the chuck. Doesn’t sound like it normally does.
Not sure if this applies, but you need to make sure the quill is absolutely fully retracted before using the drawbar release impact…

If the quill is not all the way up, the drive socket on the air motor does not engage the nut on the top of the drawbar.
Symptom is a high pitched sound from the air motor spinning very fast with no load on it

Occasionally someone will turn off the air supply (at the Bridgeport draw bar controls).

This has been taken care of. Little love tap is all it needed.
