Does anybody know what’s going on with the box sander? I would love to use it to finish up some projects I’m working on (mostly Christmas presents).

It is broke, shorted out and blew the control board.
Probably won’t be fixed before Christmas
What is the prognosis with the drum/surface sander? Is it being fixed or are we purchasing a new one? Project on hold because I need this tool!
You can take it down to Hardwood Lumber Co. and they’ll run it through theirs for about $10-15.
Not an option, and very, very poor response!
It is most certainly an option. We are in the process of determining this. If you are desperate enough its an option

Don’t see how. It’s what I did for my end-grain cutting boards which required a drum sander and they did a great job and saved a shit ton of time. But you do you.

Is there any chance we’ll know soon?
We took the sander apart on work day, I am pulling together a list of parts to order. So best guess at this point is 2-3 weeks, depending on part order and delivery time.
And the guy at Hardwood Lumber are very nice.
