We are at a 1 week countdown until the Big Open House. Yikes!!
If you are at DMS this week, please take a few minutes to clean and buff anything you see. Anything.
Pick up a piece of paper. Use Windex on a window. Etc.
If you are planning to finish a big project next Saturday, please do not. Most Committee spaces will not be available. Things will start to be available after 6pm.
Please come help. Talk to any Chair or Board Member. There will be lots to do. Does not mean you have to work a 10 hour day.
We are open to the public from 10am to 6pm. Setup is at 9am, talk to your Committee Chairs. Take down will start at 6pm. Equally important. Please help on either end.
If you have time. Please come help. It is fun. It is busy. There will be a crowd. We get to “show off” DMS. We do this 1 time a year.
Could you provide some parameters on what is acceptable cleaning procedures? I could help but don’t want to get into trouble for moving something without a committee vote.
Laser has a scheduled clean up on Friday at 7pm.
I’ve booked it on the calendar so we’re not windexing around a class.
EDIT: Now I’ve booked the whole Laser area for 9a-6:15p on Saturday to keep classes from being inadvertently scheduled. Plus we’ll need some set-up to get the lasers running before guests arrive.
There are quite a few committee clean up days scheduled over the next week if you are free for any of those, I’m sure the help would be appreciated and there would be someone to answer any questions to alleviate any worries of unintentional repercussions. I took what @Diplomat was asking people to do more along the lines of wiping down the tables and countertops in the galley or the waiver iPads, straightening art hanging on the walls etc… But I don’t know for sure.
