Bending rebar for art

Do we have a way to bend rebarb to create this?

It’s actually rebar and you can bend it all day long in a blacksmithing shop.

Sweet…by chance do you know which tools to use?

Take the Blacksmithing 101 and you’d be on your way. If I were doing it (and I’m absolutely the last person to ask) I’d use the induction forge, a hammer, and the nose? part of the anvil that’s curved.

When i did these, I used the induction forge, the standing vise and a piece of 3/4in round tubing that was 18 to 20 inches long.

He used the induction forge, no fire was necessary. It uses electricity to heat the metal. It does get the steel really hot though.

There are some ways to do it without heat, but they require a couple specialty tools and a ton of leverage.
Even then, you really kind of max out at 1/2in unless you bring some machinery into it.

I guess i need to see this induction forge.

Will keep an eye on the next class… i cannot make the one scheduled already

Just need heat

Its amazing
