The code that the test gave me for the bench grinders doesn’t work. Any suggestions?
The lock is just stubborn. Give it a nice hard pull.
If that still doesn’t work it could have failed again. I’m back tomorrow night and can override it with the key, but if needed Freddy, Charles, Tim etc have access to the committee roll up cabinet with the override key. Occassioally someone accidentally changes the combo. It’s rare but has happened. Usually it’s just stubborn and you have to pull harder.

I own a couple of this style of lock, and dialing in the combo, a push (to compress the hasp of the lock), and then a firm (but not gorilla-strength) pull usually does the trick.
Last I recall this one isn’t push. The one on the oven and the fire cabinet are, but this one was different.
I mean to grasp the body of the lock and push the whole thing upwards, to compress the hasp/shackle slightly (and remove pressure from the locking pins inside the lock) before pulling the lock open by reversing the direction of the pull.
