Basic Class for New Turners!!

Elementary Woodturning Class
Golden Triangle Woodturners are offering a 2 day basic woodturning class.
November 13th & 20th
Members $100
Location is in Denton, TX
Non-members $130 Includes 2022 membership

The Golden Triangle Woodturners will be presenting a two-day basic woodturning class. The class will be held Saturday, Nov. 13th and Saturday, Nov 20th 2021. This class is designed to give the new turner the skills to use traditional woodturning tools. Day 1 will cover parts of a lathe, and general safety instructions. Introduce the spindle roughing gouge to make things round, and then use the spindle gouge to make a weed pot. A small platter will introduce the bowl gouge. Day two, will continue with the bowl gouge to make a small bowl. and we will finish the day making a lidded box.

I’ve met a few of the folks from the club and they are great people!

@Team_Woodshop - What would you think about putting it up for a vote that proof of completing this course would be considered as satisfying our “Lathe Basics” requirement and issuing the AD?
Just a thought…
