I’ll be painting a vehicle soon and I’m curious if any of you Makers know of a place in the Dallas area where I can rent a booth/equipment for the job.
I don’t know any place. When we painted my 240SX, I bought a 26’ canopy from Northern Tool, set it up in the driveway, and taped plastic wrap around the sides. In hindsight, there were better ways to make sidewalls, but it worked well enough, and it was only $350 for the canopy, which I can reasonably use for other stuff. Like painting another car.
If you need a compressor, gun, or moisture traps, you’re on your own for that. My paint and body homeboy had a gun and traps, and we borrowed a compressor from another friend.
