Visiting my alma mater down here in Austin for a few days and was wondering if there is any sort of explicit or implied policy/practice to have Makerspace members from other areas (e.g., DMS) be able to stop by for an Austin Makerspace visit or perhaps get a ‘day pass’.
Would very much like to see the Austin Makerspace.
Drop by and knock on the door. If they are there, odds are they will show you around.
I’ve been to quite a few makerspaces. all have been excited to show me around and learn about DMS as well.
DMS doesn’t have any explicit or implied agreements with any other Makerspaces that I’m aware of.
We have a contractual agreement with the Dallas Personal Robotics Group, which meets here. Also several of our members are also members of theLab.ms, but no reciprocal agreements with other Makerspaces.
ATX is worth visiting, when I was there last year they were very happy to show me around.
