You sure about the price?
- Yes. It’s Free
What’s the catch?
- Screen is broken.
Does it come with the remote?
- Yes
I still have the feet for it too, but not the screws.
What happened to it?
- Bought it at Fry’s as an open box item, brought it home, stored it in the garage (safely in the original box), and opened it 2 1/2 months later to find the screen was broken. Too late to return it and warranty won’t cover that screen. I’ve already purchased a replacement.
What good is it?
- Maybe you have a need for the boards inside or want to sell them on eBay for profit - doesn’t bother me. Maybe you want to strip the backlight LEDs out of it for another project… Go for it!
I can fix it!
- Uh, sure… NOT. This is beyond Gorilla Glue™ and Duck Tape™ fixes. You’d need a replacement screen and the only good source for that is another dead TV. Buying a new screen from a repair center will cost you more than the $150 I paid for this cheap TV.
I can bring it Thursday night to the space if someone wants it. Otherwise, it’s going to the great garbage bin.
