Just wanted to say thanx to Pat and Ben for teaching the Technician Class. I took the test today at the DCARA in Denton and passed!
ANDDDDDDD…apparently, they are such good teachers that when I went ahead and took the General test (just for S & Gs knowing I didn’t know anything) I passed that too! LOL
Guess it’s not bad for someone who knows nothing about electronics! 8-))

Congratulations and well done. Now’s your chance to learn about electronics.

Thanx Todd! As I was awaiting the ppw after taking the General, I was thinking…
Hmmmmm…wonder how hard it would be to do some soldering on a circuit board and build a radio! After all, I can identify schematics (somewhat), what more could there be too it! I mean, surely the electronic components look JUST like the drawings! LOL

OMG Congratulations!!! Now its time to get a radio, it would be a great Mothers Day gift!!
Congrats! I hold a Tech but will now consider a General.
I’m trying to hint rather strongly about that, Sean, but, this is his year of non-electronic gifts! sigh…
Grats! The tech test was MUCH easier than I figured it would be!

You’ve heard me say it in class, passing the amateur radio license exam means you have a license to learn. Doesn’t mean you know everything, it means you’ve got some of the basics down! Being a Maker means we are learning all the time and generally (no pun intended, although it works well) that we are pushing our comfort zone.
Congratulations on passing the Tech and General!
