Any chance there is a loose alligator clip similar to the image below in the electronics stockpile? Need the rounded end to slide a temperature probe into.

Actually saw some loose ones in with the test equipment cables in the tool chest. Might still be around
There are a metric buttload of these in the black roller toolbox in one of the lower drawers.
My best advice, leave some damn money in the Black Contribution Box! (yes, I am drinking whiskey and cussing)
