There are 4 entrance doors at 1825 Monetary Lane #104. There is no indication of what those 104’s above the doors mean though many could guess it is the Suit number. However, there is just one of the doors is for entrance. Most visitors would be confused at the first door. And will need some explorations to find the entrance at the third door. There is an easy solution:
Just label those 104’s with a door number and indicate which door number is the entrance.
There are actually 8 if you count the rear entrances.
When I’ve brought this up in the past I’ve been told the marking has been coordinated with the Fire Dept.
I’d like to see something that lets us specify a particular door. Having first responders show up at the front door for an injury at the autoshop seems wasteful.
While less important, but still annoying is the difficulty in telling someone to come to a particular door, particularly a rear door.
I can ask the landlord about markings for doors and what requirements we need. Misinformation tends to fly quickly here, so I’m not sure what the truth it.
For visitors getting confused by the entrance, this is a known issue and will not be currently fixed, unfortunately. I am getting a banner to hang up by the door during tour days and special PR events, but that is the best I can do right now.
Not sure if it’s still around, or what it says, exactly, given the image has been removed from Talk & my memory ain’t doing any better…
But if it’s still about, it could be plunked down next THE ENTRANCE for tours…
Maybe we should just paint the doors in various colors. “Come to the vermilion door to start your tour…” or “Come to the fuchsia door to begin your ceramics journey…”
I thought there was a sign on the previous entry explaining where to go for entry. Plus, the 2 “extra” doors clearly state Not An Entrance (northmost door, southmost door).
