Spaceship Scrap Build (for stop motion goof)

Please bring some scraps of random objects to help with the build.

The plan is to build a few spaceships and if possible make a few moveable parts and add some LED lights. The ships will then be use in a stop motion goof. The process of building and painting the models may take some time so we will have more than one event. I’ll schedule the next events as we go.

I expect this first build to just be assembly of the model. We will paint them later.

Please skim through the videos below to get an idea of what kinds of scraps will be needed. I’d like to avoid anything that may be heavy to reduce possible issues of making animations with them.

Greeblies!!!

Retail packaging can be a good source of materials to decorate models.

For example, I buy pens in bubble packages. That plastic bubble would make a great decoration for something like an engine pod in the appropriate scale.

In my group, we refer to greeblies by the name fiddly bits.

I’ve got a box of “parts and pieces” I collect for things like this and will bring them as a donor bin for projects.
