3D Fab Committee Meeting Saturday April 16th at 8 PM. Who is going to be our next 3D Fab Chair?!

As many of y’all already know, Mitch (@themitch22) and I will be stepping down as the 3D Fabrication Committee Co-Chairs at the next Board of Directors meeting on April 24th, 2016.

Please join us on Saturday, April 16th at 8:00 PM in the Purple Classroom to vote on our next 3D Fab Chairperson(s)!

So far, Axie (@axeonos) and Max (@maxk68) have both expressed a desire to run for Chair of 3D Fab… (I’m not 100% sure at this point whether they intend on running as the only chair and/or as co-chairs.). Anyone else who may be interested in running for the position is encouraged to do so!

I would like to encourage everyone who may be interested in running as chair to post a comment in this thread.

Axie, Max, and anyone else who may be interested in running for the 3D Fab Chair position, please reply on this thread to let us know of your intent to run, as well as your preference (whether you prefer to run as the sole Chairperson over the committee, or if you would prefer to have a co-chair to share the responsibilities, etc…).

The meeting and vote will be relatively informal, however we will need to know prior to holding the vote, who will be running and what their preferences are regarding having a single chairperson or multiple co-chairs - so we know who (and which management style) we will be voting on.

I really appreciate having been able to be Chair over 3D Fab over the past two years; and, am looking forward to seeing what the upcoming new chairperson(s) will bring to Dallas Makerspace in general, and to the 3D Fabrication Committee in particular! Thank you ALL so much!!! -Lisa

Hi, I’m Axeonos and I would like to run for one of the following chairperson options for 3D Fab:

Chairperson

if given the voting turnout for the meeting i would not opposed having a vice chair.
i wish you all good luck. Let’s do our best!

Hello Im Max, most of you have seen me in the 3d print lad from time to time, I would like to run for co-chair of the 3d Fab Committee, I think I have a lot to offer and will be able to keep the 3D print lab running smoothly.
