3 Minute Task: Measure Space between Bay Doors

I need someone to measure the space between the automotive ramp door, and the loading dock door, to make a new sign regarding entering the space (honk before entering, no loading when bays in use, etc).

I need the width of the usable space for making the signs

Cheers,
-Jim

Not to pick a fight, but What does that mean? A woodworker isn’t allowed to load or unload their supplies if a car is parked in a bay? Pearce’s team can’t use the ramp to dumpster abandoned stuff?

You can’t load in the bays when they’re in use. You can still use a cart and the ramp.

EDIT: this has been a rule in automotive for quite some time, albeit not everyone seems to be aware of it. Better signage helps with that. There have been serious incidents with someone coming in to unload wood when the bays are in use.

Just to clarify… if a vehicle is on the lift, someone can’t bring materials to the top of the ramp and unload to the ground/cart?

People can load and unload via carts, but vehicles may not pull into auto for loading/unloading.

We’ve had people hit vehicles on the lift and on jack stands when they’re coming in to load.

That makes sense. Thank you for clarification.
