that was actually pretty cool. I saw they were using a Tecan Freedom Evo to prep the sample 96 well plates, then an Illumina Autoloader 2.x beadchip microarray scanner to read the sample plates. So that’s how they keep costs down: they only scan for certain traits and not the entire genome, and they only do one pass so it’s not 100% accurate.
