2017 Hackaday Prize Design Concept challenge begins April 22 at the 'Space

Hackaday is calling for the curious, the creative, the determined. The Hackaday Prize is for creating for social change in order to transform the world. Using your hardware and programming knowledge on top of your scientific, design, and mechanical abilities, you will innovate to make an impact in peoples’ lives.

It’s time to leverage your talent and find solutions to address a problem facing humanity today. With a new technical design challenge every 6 weeks, you are expanding the frontiers of knowledge and engineering.

The first round of the Hackaday Prize is a chance to pitch an idea and submit a Design Concept. Then we give you 4 more Hackaday Prize challenges to run with. These 5 challenges run in series (one after the other) and each challenge lasts just 6 weeks. Big things start with just an idea.

@bnoden ~ Do people have to pre-register, or can they just show up tomorrow and participate?

I’ve updated the original post.

It shouldn’t be a problem if a few people show up, though I do prefer that they RSVP at Meetup.com even if they decide not to come later.
