Hi,
I tried to bend 14gauge sheet metal this morning on the old Whitney brake with the fingers but wasn’t successful. It worked well with some scraps but when I placed the 14” wide sheet metal the clamping pressure didn’t hold down the metal at the pinch point and it was lifting up? Is there a way to get more camping pressure- I had the spring loaded levers pushed down but it didn’t seem to be enough.
These are 90 degree bends I’m trying to do.
The Verson press (with face painted) may be better suited. Is there someone who could train me on that or guide me through the project. I have 8 bends to do.
Thanks
Joe
