Don’t forget that the Machine shop committee meeting meeting is this Thursday 11/09 in the Purple room. The first half hour will be dedicated to the committee issues.

2nd Half: Bob Karnaugh has agreed to talk to us about metal designations.
2024 or T6061 aluminum? 360 Brass? 316L steel? what do these things mean? Are these the right ones for your projects? Come join us and find out.
This will be the first of our special machining topics that will follow our committee meetings. If you’re a budding machinist type - come learn about machining subjects you won’t find any where else other than a formal training program. And the price is right - free.

To everyone: I think Nick is implementing a great thing for Machine Shop meetings. Besides the 60 min < meeting there will be a 30 min < presentation made each meeting on a topic related to Machine Shop. We’ve had several presentations in the past, but now this will become a part of our meetings.

Nick’s upped the game for committee meetings and now there is another reason to attend.

If you have a subject or technique you’d like to do a short presentation on, please let Nick know.
