Is there a 1/4" collet for the router table somewhere? If not and I wanted to buy one to use with my collection of 1/4" bits, does anyone know what type of collet I would need to buy to fit that router?
There wasn’t one provided with the new router, it’s a big 3 and a half horse power motor… cheap bits may not be safe in this set up, it may produce FOD in the woodshop. Here is what I ordered for my kit.
Milwaukee 48-66-1015 1/4-Inch Self-Releasing Collet and Locking Nut Assembly Amazon.com
When I took the woodshop basics class we were told there is no 1/4” collet currently.
I don’t know what size it takes. However, the makerspace tool list states it’s a Porter Cable 3.25hp router.

Thanks, all. I’m just going to invest in some 1/2" bits for using on the table due to the safety concerns.

1/2” shank bits are better all-around and aren’t much more expensive than 1/4”, which are shit IMO.
