1/16 Inch Veneer Source

I’m trying to find a local source for some sheets of 1/16" veneer (maple or birch or ?) for some long boards I’m making, so approximately 12"x48".

I’ve never seen such cuts at Wood World…

I got some 1/16" red oak veneer at Wood World in 24x24". I would imagine that you could order some bigger pieces through them if you just ask.

I got some veneer from ebay but not sure how they would shipp that large of a piece.

Rockler or Woodcraft? Both have local stores…

Rockler & Woodcraft, if I could even get that thickness in that size, would be too expensive.

I’ll give Wood World a call and see what I can do about ordering the specific cut - as opposed to what they happen to have in-store when I visit.

Are there other suppliers in the DFW area you guys use?

You can try Central, but I have never used them. Veneers & Edgebanding - Central Hardwoods
