When you stop the vehicle, there can be a fairly brief period where under the hood temps spike as the exhaust manifolds dump heat in a very enclosed area and no air moving through. This would be a an interesting (or not) experiment to put a few sensors about and see what it does go up to.

Formula 1 teams probably already have it; those folks measure EVERYTHING!
Here’s a brief breakdown of what and how they gather.
and according to this Forbes article (which I don’t know if you can read because Forbes sucks at allowing people to read things) in 2014 the race FANS (on AT&T) collected/transmitted 2.3 TERABYTES of information in the form of pics, videos, tweets, etc. The race TEAMS collected over 100x that amount of data in telemetry, at 243 TERABYTES!
