If the main board is bad then the machine may be unrepairable.

Would be a good cabinet for making a virtual pinball machine. The backbox will hold a 22" LCD panel and speakers and the lower cabinet will hold a 37-40" LCD TV.
It would also make a good cabinet for doing a custom pinball whitewood build in.
The boards used in these home model games are known to be difficult to repair. Might be fun to use an arduino and a relay board to rewire the game and give it a new brain…

Arduino Mega w/ lots of I/O. Logic level fets for relays and lights. Could be an interesting project for a series of classes - hrdwr, sftwr, interfacing, etc.
