Hi, I’m Crystal. I have been a crafter for most of my life. My main crafting skill is crocheting small projects for gifts to friends or family. I also like to dabble in other arts to whatever captures my fancy at the time. A few years ago I got the metal working bug when I took some welding courses at my local community college. I love the versatility, beauty, durability and usefulness metal can be, and molding it to my will gives me the right kind of challenge and satisfaction I need in crafting.

My preferred method of welding is TIG. As of 3/7/20, I have permission by Jim, Chair of Metal Shop, to provide people for the “Show me you can weld” certification. Soon I will start teaching certification classes for the TIG Machines, and Hot Process Safety Course.

My goal at DMS is to learn skills on as many machines as I can so that I can grow as a Metal Artist. I love hands on learning and gaining new skills; an if I feel comfortable in my skills, I am more than happy to share what I learned.
