Hello Makers, Bakers, and Earth - Shakers

I’m Matthew (Matt) Sams, and I’m a lifetime engineer and builder. My passion for building started when I made a deadly pencil-shooting crossbow out of popsicle sticks in 6th grade. 13 years later, I’m running an online store selling custom replica birdhouses and 3D printing chihuahuas which can be seen on our website - birdyourhouse.com

Here’s some stuff about me:

1.) Husband
I got married in March of 2023 to my wife, Hannah Sams. It was her idea to start ‘Bird Your House’ and she plays a vital role in the business. I met Hannah when I worked as a lifeguard in 2020!

2.) Small business Nerd
I’ve noticed something about myself after quitting my engineering job in 2021… I love helping people with their own business endeavors! Many of my closest friends have started businesses for themselves, and I’ve helped them and their businesses by assembling products, making more sales, designing their website, etc. I highly respect anyone who is crafty enough to sell their own product or service and thrive while doing so.

3.) Engineer
I studied Mechanical Eng. at TTU in Lubbock. I later worked full time in accident reconstruction for about a year before quitting and moving on to other things.

4.) Athlete
I love a good physical challenge, and here’s a few I’ve completed
