I have a tool bag with a very stout zipper that has lost it’s pull tab. The slider is intact and functional. I can loop a couple of split rings through it and call it a fix, but I’m wondering if there is a better way.
Any suggestions?

You can buy zipper pull replacement tabs that just slip on.
You may have to hunt around to find one that will fit through the pull loop. This one says it’s .06" diameter.
I figured it would be something like that. Thanks!
When I was working on the Delta Airlines RFID baggage tracking project I could have gotten you thousands of zipper pulls. They litter the bowels of the airport. Thousands.
You can use your soldering skills to make a heavy duty pull from a 2" length of #8 or #10 copper wire threaded through the zipper hole, folded in two and then soldered inside a 1" length of 1/4" copper tubing.
Have you sourced WAWAK online? Sewing supply for both garment and bags.
