Yeast-Beasties Class coming up

I know I’ve been saying I’d do this for a while, and unfortunately, my schedule isn’t looking so hot for the next few weeks, but I am making progress on the materials for a ‘Collect your local brewing yeast’ class.

I actually collected a bit from an orchard in Phoenix a few months ago, and am just now getting around to propagating it to see if it’ll make a drinkable beer… or maybe an interesting bread…

For starters, here’s the first plate I made with a sample I collected from the flower of a peach tree mixed in a citrus grove.
