I have managed to strip my hot end tip on my Ender 3 pro 3D printer. I have workeded around this area before to know that I cannot do this by myself with my one good hand and in a wheelchair. I’m willing to pay someone to help me get my 3D printer back up,help?
I would be glad to use factory original parts but I’m wondering if someone would be willing to use this instead? I would be willing to buy two if someone is willing to do the repair. I won’t buy anything until I have someone lined up.
I have included a new thread in maker trade which includes the amount offered.
I’ve worked on a few enders in the past. Honestly at that price point, I would just sell your current printer and buy one of the newer models like the Ender 3 V3 SE ($160 new, or $107 refurbished) which has an auto-leveling bed, prints faster and quieter, and is a lot easier to change the filament. The Ender 3 V2 Neo is also a decent option if you find one for sale
Alternatively, I would recommend getting the Bambu A1 mini. Despite its smaller size, it’s a super reliable printer and not nearly as high-maintenance as Creality’s Ender printers
Yah an ender 3 pro isn’t worth paying $100+ to repair. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great printer and I have two of them myself, but if I was looking at a $100 repair on either one of them they’d get kicked to the curb so quick and I’d save up to replace them with a Bambu A1 mini or full size.
I would be glad to buy a new printer, but the fact is I could not assemble it by myself. So the problem is still the same. If you will note the print head I am looking at it would be a major upgrade from the Ender 3 pro.
Yes, but the Ender 3 V3 SE already has a full-metal direct drive extruder. The upgrade is redundant given the much better printers available
And assembly is much easier than on the older ender printers. Most of it comes preassembled
I have ordered the Ender 3V3SE printer I will let you know how it turns out. When it gets here I will probably still need help assembling this new printer I will continue on this thread when it gets here. I suspect knowing this crowd I will have no problem getting rid of the old printer.
If the decision isn’t too late, I’d be yet another to recommend the Bambu A1 mini. I’ve seen very little complaints on r/bambuLab for as long as I’ve been there, compared to r/ender3. The upgrades look like they would be possible, given your disability, and adding the AMS Lite is a trivial option. The only issue is whether you can accept being forced to use cloud services.
I’ve just ordered that printer overall I’m very happy with the ender brand.
I literally paid $100 for an Ender 3 Pro during Microcenter’s sale. I highly recommend a new printer.
So the new printer has arrived today I was very impressed with the shipping speed. I had expected longer.
So now I am at the point I am asking for help assembling this printer.
I am willing to pay someone for this and uh will give my old defunct printer away if they want it. I haven’t seen it done yet but I’m sure it would make a dandy printed circuit board router. I live in Garland near Hwy. 66 and Country Club Rd.
Hi Wendy!
Hope you’re doing well. Happy to help! I can come pick up the printers whenever is convenient for you and get the new one assembled. Just let me know.
Thanks!

Thanks to Doyle I have been using this printer for the last week and I have even written up a review from my website at All About Circuits. Thank you @DigitalDoyle
the new printer is substantially faster and more accurate.

You are more than welcome! Great to hear you’re so pleased with the new printer, too. Let me know if there’s anything else you might need, and thanks so much for the old machine. I’ve been making filament dryers out of them for my little 3D print farm. Happy printing!
